GOOD MILK
FOR THE COMMON GOOD.

Challenge: Turn an existing dairy company into a visible, credible, value-creating brand. Zom had a name, a business and products, but no distinctive identity, coherent graphic universe, proprietary iconography, clear range architecture or brand experience yet.

Group and company: Based in Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Zom is a young dairy company offering fresh milk, yogurts and cheeses. Its name refers to the high mountain pastures where shepherds lead their herds every summer. The company brings farming, livestock and processing together in a single model.

Potential: Make Zom the leading dairy brand in Kurdistan, creating more value from local milk, supporting producers over the long term and bringing families safe, nutritious and accessible products.

Creative Solution

TASTE OF NATURE

Since December 2024, Team Créatif has been building a complete ecosystem with Zom around one promise, “Taste of Nature”. The identity draws on the region’s landscape, a plateau between two mountains. The logo’s three letters evoke the mountains and the sun, with a red line for the river crossing the valley. A stylized Kurdish valley, three primary colors and a proprietary typeface carry the brand across every range, Core, Kids and Gourmet.

ONE LOGO, A WHOLE ECOSYSTEM

The same logotype extends to the entities that bring the ecosystem to life on the ground, Zom Agriculture, Zom Dairy Farm, Zom Veterinary and Zom Market. More than a visual identity, this brand architecture structures the governance of the whole sector, from herd health to milk traceability all the way to the consumer. From pack to point of sale, from delivery trucks to communication, design makes a complex ecosystem readable.

RESULTS

DESIGN AS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

In two years, Zom has brought together more than 3,300 dairy producers and farming families, 500 farms, 30 collection centers and 400 employees, with 82 packagings across 5 ranges. Named Brand of the Year in Iraq at the Kotler Award 2025, the brand now sets the standard in its region. The project was selected among the winners of the TOP/COM Grands Prix Consumer 2026, in the Global Design category.
